Rochebrune
Another glorious day here, good that we had another day free to ski. We decided to go to Rochebrune, which meant a ski down to Megève and a shoebox cable ride across.
It was a nice change to ski in another area. This is the first time we have visited Rochebrune this year. Dennis clocked 67.2 km/h, we managed 46.2 km distance , in 3hr 8mins. Not bad…. well not by my standards anyway
It wasn’t at all busy, and the pistes were very long, and very wide. The pistes were again in good condition, but a bit scratchy in some places. We had a bit of fun, trying to get back to Megève and ended up going up the same chairlift twice before we found the right one back. There was a chairlift intersection, we were supposed to be on the ‘other’ one! We got there eventually, a bit of a Spaghetti Junction… ok, I exaggerate! Also, there are a lot more very long pomas here. Long, and undulating, and a bit of a gymkhana experience in certain sections! Beautiful views though, and and a lovely day.
We’ve got a ski track/logs page up now, to try to keep tabs on our skiing. Unfortunately, we couldn’t upload Dennis’ track, as there is some sort of gremlin in the works, might be able to sort it out though… given a bit more time.
Some more pics in the gallery.
