Another Day at the Office
Well, after the excitement of the French Open, with the official results now on display. It was ‘back to the office’ and today, it was busy with the Dutch here ‘clogging’ up the launch 
We’ve four guests, two on EP/CP one free flying and another late booking who is at the local school. Fortunately, it was a good day for our beginners and first flights were had by both, so happy, smiley faces all round. Dennis tried out a Niviuk Hook, which looked and flew beautifully, whilst I was basically grounded all day… I thought that’s what you get when you’re a naughty teenager..?!!! ‘grounded’ … brings back memories!
Weather is due to deteriorate tonight, but hopefully flyable again in the morning.

Autumn Is Upon Us
Autumn is definately here, with the treetops all turning, the temperature dipping, a regular dampness in the morning, and condensation on the windscreens. The snow has made a fleeting appearance , settling on Varan, and the surrounding mountains although then disappearing… just a minor taste of things to come. Our flying has now taken on the more serene character of gentle air and mild soaring. It is all still very enjoyable as what we don’t have in the spring and summer months in the shape of strong thermals and xc potential, we make up for in the sheer beauty of the changing landscape and the depth of colour, artists revel in. So here’s to welcoming in all the changes that mother natures offers….. We are still flying, but just scraping climb outs now.
