High Hopes in the French Alps

Domestic Lentil ticular

Dennis met Andrew in Chamonix this morning to get a couple of flights in just to reinforce the landing requirements for both fields. Namely, Bois du Bouchet and the Savoy.  Needless to say, he landed in both with no problem. It looked like a nice day forming, as clouds were popping off nicely over the pump as well as atop the mountains.  There are a group of Hawaiians here who visit most years, and is always good to see them. It’s been nice chatting to them in Plaine Joux over the last couple of days.

Today, they were all getting climb outs over Brevant, to get away on an XC, not sure how far they went, but cloud base didn’t get much higher than just resting on the top of the mountains, so it would have been difficult to have gone to far beyond the valley.

Meanwhile, I had a day off! and decided to have a go at a new healthy recipe so tried my hand at some Lentil Patè sounds awful, but actually tastes really nice! a good alternative to liver, (although neither of us are veggies) just a spicy accompaniment to a regular meal. I don’t have much time to potter around in the kitchen, but enjoyed the solitary time doing housy things, in a  guest free house and garden!
