High Hopes in the French Alps

Zephyr Launches

The fog welcomed us this morning, and stuck with us virtually the whole way to Annecy. We did consider Chamonix but the Foehn wind was forecast so that swung the decision to go to Annecy instead.

Very Brief!

The Stratus hung around for most of the day putting a lid on it, although just the odd zephyr came through to help with launching. Both John and Gary, did very well on their nil wind launches although there wasn’t much in the way of ‘flying’ given the conditions.

Les Passengers du Vent were up there at Plan Fait, loaded with trikechairs for practice tandems and solo’s. They were all having fun familiarising themselves with the procedure for when needed.

Only two flights were managed before the rain moved in, and that was about it.
