High Hopes in the French Alps

Sailplane Away!

A late starting day… Dennis, worked with Peter up on the training hill for the morning as the cloud was too low to fly Gary.  As the sun started to dominate and heated through, the cloud lifted and I took Gary up a little later in the morning.

It worked out well as Gary was making mostly all his own decisions and progressing exceptionally well. Peter managed to get three flights in, and I managed to scrape one in at the end of the day. I flew the O8 again, as I’m not going to have it for much longer so am making the most of it.  Whilst waiting for Dennis to drive Peter and Gary back up to launch a sailplane silently flew by in front of launch. It did look peaceably tranquil out there….
