High Hopes in the French Alps

Delta Force XC Weeks & Holiday!

In addition to our ‘Cloud Cruising’ operations for 2011 we are arranging a few weeks exclusively for Ozone Delta pilots. As the Delta is an all round great wing, we thought it would be fun to group together pilots all flying the same glider threfore with no added advantage or disadvantage of performance to participate in some fun flying with pre-set tasks in and around the valley. This is still in the preliminary stages but we have already received interest. We are planning on Spring and Early Summer 2011.

We are finally off for a couple of weeks holiday from tomorrow, but still intend to keep the blog running. If you’re interested in joining us for the Delta Force XC weeks, please get in touch. More details will be published on the website and updated here later. Meanwhile here’s hoping for some good weather a little further south. The only way I was going to get to the Southern Hemisphere would be to stand on my head on a map of Australia! Anyway we’re really happy to be going away and really looking forward to  staying in Entraygues-sur-Truyère tomorrow night with Dennis’s sister and husband, we haven’t seen them for ages. It is a lovely picturesque town, and the change of scenery, will be most welcome.  It’s still very cloudy here, tomorrow is due to improve, then grim again for a while, so we won’t be missing much. We  then plan to move on to visit more friends en route to Biarritz and hopefully get some fun flying in at Dune de Pyla before popping in to Northern Spain, well that’s the plan!

Toodle pip!
