High Hopes in the French Alps

Snow Business, Not Quite Yet

Snow Creeps Down the Fiz

The weather today was rushing headlong into winter. The snow arrived as predicted and was down to around 1200 meters or thereabouts. Dark for most of the day with swirling leaves, vortexed by strong winds. The trees were looking a lot more naked by the end of the day. A minor clearance of cloud revealed a fleeting glance of an ice blue sky, tinged with a waterwashed reflective glow of the weakening sun rays on the Mountain. It was all enveloped again in a moment.

The darkness shrouded us early, and neither of us had much of an inclination to want to venture out. A Sunday spent contentedly indoors, although with an irritating distraction of a few bugs on the computer to have to contend with, that and my fultile second attempt at video editing… it’s not even that exciting, would just like to be able to to do it.. is all.

The Airport Transfer bookings are starting to come  in… so here’s hoping for a healthy season…
