High Hopes in the French Alps

Ski Seeking

Aravis, or part thereof

Airport transfers have dominated over the last couple of days, they come in last minute so we have to drop everything and go. It’s been ok, the roads haven’t posed any problems so far. It was a cold one today, hard frosted ground which remained so, just what’s needed.

The snow is looking a bit scrappy on the Les Houches piste as well as in some other areas where it’s wearing a bit thin, but ok higher up. It looks like more areas will be opening this weekend, namely
St. Gervais
which will be nice, the snow report is looking good. Rochebrune has some lifts up and running at the moment and Les Grand Montets is now officially open for the season. So it’s almost all systems go!

Here’s hoping we can get out at some point over the weekend.

Just a pic taken on our daily walk.
