High Hopes in the French Alps

Eagle Eyed

We thought that it may be flyable … there was a slim chance but the wind was picking up… on our walk I eyed an eagle, gale hanging he was up there for ages, just sitting there going nowhere, shrilling out occassionally…

... the closest I could get

It looked really windy up there, the cloud was getting torn apart really quickly and it was a pretty cold one at that, so much so I kept my hood up even though the sun was shining. We’re not getting any proper playtime weather at the moment. Hope something happens soon… no doubt it’ll arrive as soon as we’re busy on the road again.

Meanwhile we’re airing our harnesses and it’s about now that we do our reserve checks and re-packs, all ready for the spring. John called ’round today to collect his new reserve, it’s fitted and he’s all set to go.
