High Hopes in the French Alps

Ballooning About

one of the balloons around the valley

There were a number of balloons about early this morning, wondered if there was some sort of balloonfest going on in the early morning still air. Beautiful bright day, still very cold though with frost hanging around all day long.

We did have Transfers to do, and as we are airing our reserves at the moment there’s no flying until they are all safely repacked. It looks like the weather is going to deteriorate a bit tomorrow then come good again so we may get out and fly on Saturday, the first time this year, if it happens.

The snow is all a bit tired and scrappy and not very appealing, but no doubt as soon as we want to start flying again, it’ll probably return.

  1. Hi Gillian
Ballon, maybe because of international festival in Château-d’Oex not so far away from you. You should go and have a look, there are always lots of things happening. Fun and fund, and cold 🙂 Here is a link to the web page:

    • Hi Randi,
Thanks for that link, it’s on until the 28th January so there’s a couple of days left. Will see if we can get over, (if we can arrange it around the Transfers) it looks fabulous and what colours!

Randi another quick question, will you be doing the Nordic Open this year? 🙂
