High Hopes in the French Alps

Horses for Courses

Dennis, thinking about landing..?

Another busy morning, but hey, we got to fly! ok… so it was later in the day, but better late than never.

The Scallop or Pilgrim fold ?

It was flyable although the cloud whited out quite early, the thermals were working but bitty and irregular,  it was fun, non the less. The harness change was great, got the turn just right! Comunication established!

We’ve got Transfers coming up to Flumet on Sunday, so the plan is to stop in at Annecy en route and check out the flight decks. The one I tried today, was ok but not completely satisfactory so would like to have a look and see what’s new.  I’ve heard Sup-Air have a new ‘light’ flight deck on the market which I’d be interested try.

Tomorrow, it may be flyable but föehn is forecast so am not sure at the moment. Transfers will take up part of the day, but will just have to see how the day pans out.

Really had fun on the Delta today, hands free flying, weightshift turns, just an altogether fun flight. Nice climbs, didn’t feel any resistance in the turns this time, so the harness set up has made the difference…. horses for courses!
